Our clients are looking for a field service/workshop technician to assist with the servicing of laboratory equipment in the medical & analytical markets. The role is London based primarily, but you will also need to travel quite frequently (initially) to their Cambridge workshop. As the field work develops, the travel to Cambridge will become less. The role entails a mix of field and workshop based technical service. Ideally you should have gained some laboratory service experience on a range of laboratory, analytical & diagnostic instrumentation systems. You should also have excellent technical & PC skills (especially in MS-Office,) a sound knowledge of Electronics and an education to HNC level or similar would be beneficial. You should be customer orientated and be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing with customers, the support office and outside agencies. There will be occasional overseas travel to support our international partners and to receive training. Package includes a company car, laptop, mobile phone etc. There is the possibility that this position could develop into a service manager's position responsible for the Field Service Engineer team in the future.
