Our client is currently seeking a Windows Systems Administrator to install, update and maintain Windows based systems and Windows server applications.
You will be responsible for:
*Installing, updating and maintaining Windows based systems
*Installing, updating and maintaining Windows server applications including Active Directory, Live / Office Communications Server, Project Server, Exchange 2007, Microsoft SQL Server, Citrix, Dynamics and RSA Authentication Server (ACE Server)
*Helping to define, implement services to improve overall infrastructure efficiency
*Helping to migrate the windows infrastructure to a virtualised SAN based infrastructure
*Documenting infrastructure changes
*Training new starters and existing staff
Essential skills:
*Windows Server OS administration working within an IT support team
*In depth knowledge of Windows 2003 Server, Active Directory (including Samba integration), Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint etc.), browsers (IE, Firefox), E-mail packages (Thunderbird / Outlook)
*In depth knowledge of at least three of the following server applications MS SQL Server, Exchange 2007, Citrix, RSA authentication server, MS Project Server, Sharepoint, Dynamics
*Comprehensive knowledge of networking, TCP/IP, IPSec VPN tunnelling and general remote access methodologies
*Using a help desk system to monitor and track outstanding tickets.
**The ability to quickly integrate and make a significant contribution
Desirable:
*Basic UNIX administration
*Use of VMWare virtualisation infrastructure software
*An appreciation of VOIP and IPv6
*An appreciation of running windows in a SAN based infrastructure.
*Cisco PIX administration experience
*An appreciation of ITIL
