    A new role for an experienced Business Development professional, to sell the services of a leading CRO to Pharmaceutical companies.

    The Company

    One of the UK’s most highly respected Contract Research Organisations, based in a beautiful setting in the Cambridge area. The company has a genuinely friendly and buzzing atmosphere and has recently secured full Phase 1 accreditation with the MHRA, meaning it is one of the few companies in the country that can perform any type of Phase 1 trial, under the new laws. They invest a lot of time and money in their work environment and teams to ensure they are one of the top employers in the area.

    The Role

    You will be working for a company that conducts clinical trials on behalf of their Pharmaceutical clients. You will identify new business opportunities, proactively approaching Pharma organisations in order to sell the benefits of outsourcing their Phase I and II trials. This will involve finding out who the key decision-makers are within these Pharma companies and strategically approaching them with a tailor-made, informed proposal dependent on their clinical pipeline, budgets, geographical constraints and timescales. You will be expected to meet your clients, make presentations and work with them throughout the whole process in order to build up trust. The company you will be working for prides itself not only on offering a cost-effective service but following all industry standards (e.g. GCP) to the book and maintaining the utmost levels of Clinical Trial competency.

    You will succeed in this role if you pride yourself on the quality of your service and your ability to truly listen to your clients’ requirements. You will work closely with your own project teams, assisting in the preparation and review of costings, contracts and negotiations.

    Experience

    The successful candidate will be a hard-working, determined and confident individual with a winning, friendly personality. You will ideally have a Science degree, Nursing qualification or equivalent expertise in a Clinical environment. You must also have a good understanding of early clinical development and the CRO outsourcing process, gained through working at either a CRO or a Pharmaceutical company.

    You will have strong experience of promoting, marketing and selling in a Scientific or Medical environment, in a target-oriented role that requires self-motivation. Strong IT and presentation skills are essential.

    You must have your own transport.
