As RF Engineer you will design products with significant RF electronics content for industrial, consumer and defence clients. To make a significant technical contribution, liaising with and presenting to clients.
Specific responsibilities:
To make a significant technical contribution to the project teams
Undertake technical system and architecture design tasks to meet specifications
Working as part of close-knit multi-disciplinary project teams focussed on delivering design solutions to clients
Participating in sales meetings with clients to understand their requirements and demonstrate company capability
Board level design of RF/analogue circuits at component level
Simulation of critical circuits
Supervision of schematic capture and layout work by CAD staff
Test and verification of RF circuits
Preparation of data for client review
The ability to carry out these responsibilities as an individual and also team member is essential.
Minimum requirements:
To meet the demanding requirements of this role you will have a good first degree or post graduate degree in electronic engineering, physics or a related discipline. Doctorates with RF design experience will also be considered.
Significant depth of knowledge and experience in at least one of the following:
RF design for systems operating at frequencies between 400MHz and 10GHz
Sensor design (Analogue, RF and Microwave)
RF circuit board level design
Additionally it would be advantageous to have knowledge in the following:
EMC and antenna testing
Type approval standards and testing for European, US and far eastern markets
Design for and transfer of products to volume production
Due to the nature of the work, it will be necessary to obtain security clearance for the successful applicant, and therefore the applicant must hold UK nationality.
