Our client is a Cambridge based research and product development company who work with a global client base. They are able to deliver market led technical innovation, either through licensing the results of their own research and development projects, or through contract research and development. Their clients come from a broad set of industry sectors including utilities, communications, pharmaceuticals and packaging.
Job Description:
The Technology Developer will be responsible for:
- Research and development of commercially valuable technologies.
- Identifying markets and companies with whom the company can create and develop ideas or products,
- Building and maintaining relations with individuals and or companies who may value our services,
- Managing projects and budgets,
- Preparing proposals, reports, presentations etc., for potential and actual clients,
- Travel to client s premises or other meeting venues either within the UK or abroad.
Be able to maximise opportunity to continue client relationships and develop new business, both through existing and new clients.
Requirements:
Suitable candidates for the role of Technology Developer will need to have:
- An excellent degree in physics or electronics
- An outstanding understanding of applied physics and engineering principles.
- Creativity and problem solving skills.
- Good mathematical/analytical skills.
- Self motivation and an ability to operate with minimal supervision
- Expertise in analogue and digital electronics.
- Knowledge of design for manufacture and manufacturing processes.
