Company Summary: Our client, one of the world\'s leading wireless technology development companies, is focussed on the development of full systems (SW and HW) for WiFi, WLAN, Bluetooth, UWB and WiMax. With offices all over the world and a client base that reads like a who\'s who of consumer electronics companies, they are now pushing on to become the world\'s leading wireless company.

Job Description: The role of the Embedded Software Engineer is to design, develop and test Embedded software for communications chips, focussing on DSP. There are two main areas of work: firstly with R&D on DSP algorithm development and secondly combining and extending both DSP deliveries from R&D and specific audio application.

The on chip Microprocessor is programmed in C, whilst the DSP side is coded entirely in Assembler. Various different programs are used on PCs for debugging/testing and emulating host processor functionality. These are written in a variety of languages including C, C++, python, Perl and TCL.

Requirements: Suitable candidates for the role of Embedded Software Engineer will need to have:

• BS or MS in Maths, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or equivalent
• Enthusiasm for solving interesting problems. Demonstrated innovative and creative thinking capabilities.
• DSP programming experience, including familiarity with assembly language
• Highly professional, flexible, with the ability to deliver high quality work on tight schedules
• Self motivated, independent, proactive and able to work effectively in a group
• Outstanding written and verbal communication
