- Performing design activities including (but not limited to): requirements capture, specification writing, circuit design and analysis, component selection, DFMEA, reliability analysis, validation testing, test and engineering report writing, and documentation.
- Day-to-day co-ordination within a cross-functional design team including Hardware, Mechanical and Software. Liaison, where required, with outsourced Validation and Manufacturing partners.
- Ensuring that designs are executed in accordance with internal and customer quality/process requirements to achieve clean product launches.
- Interfacing with the customer\'s engineering team, including management as appropriate.
- Providing supervision and coaching to junior engineers.
Coming from a sector such as automotive which includes design for medium-to-high-volume manufacture is essential, as is strong experience in all levels of hardware design.
