Job Description
Our client, based in Cambridge is seeking a Senior PDK Engineer with solid industry experience of working with leading edge technologies and a proven track record of delivering state-of-the-art PDK components. Candidates must have a degree, masters, PhD or equivalent in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Physics, Device Physics or Computer Science.
The purpose of the Senior PDK Engineer is:
To contribute to the strategic definition, and function as technical leader, driving and monitoring the execution of PDK development and alignment of foundry technology to company R&D requirements.
To define, plan, manage and initiate costing review on the extension of the PDK include new EDA modules and toolsets.
To define, plan and manage Advance Process Technology student internship programs.
To define, plan and manage integration and training activities for new R&D sites.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Planning and driving towards delivery of high-quality PDK for our clients design efforts.
Auditing of incoming and outgoing PDK deliverables, towards high Quality Assurance (QA) of PDKs developed for R&D teams.
Leading definition and costing of new EDA module and toolsets for PDK development and enhancement.
Managing relationship with key external vendors, foundry and EDA providers, towards best-in- class PDK delivery to R&D.
Interfacing with the company's R&D leads and representative towards PDK enhancement and efficient bug correction.
Interfacing with third-party vendors towards test chip, characterisation and PDK development.
Technical leader on PDK strategy, planning and driving execution.
As the team continues to grow to participate in PDK team hiring plans, including candidate interviews and recommendations.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Degree, masters, PhD or equivalent in one of the following fields: Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Physics, Device Physics or Computer Science.
Solid industry experience working with leading edge technologies.
Proven track record of delivering state-of-the-art PDK components (SPICE, verification decks, p-cell library etc.) for analogue/RF product design.
Excellent leadership skills.
Knowledge of advanced CMOS technology, 90nm and beyond, including awareness of technical challenges in the process technology and product design.
Strong knowlegde of design flow and EDA/CAD tools including but not limited to Cadence and Mentor.
Strong technical project management.
Good interpersonal and communcation skills.
Experience in technology transfer from fab to fab and/or technology development to manufacturing including yield and in new product introduction is desirable
