Job Description
Key abilities and responsibilities
In the role of Reliability engineer you will be required to help to develop high reliability systems for the oil industry, where products are deployed into high pressure, high temperature environments and must have a life of 5-15yrs+ continuous service.
You will be responsible for developing and coordinating all reliability studies along with helping, along with project teams, to develop and maintain all HALK testing and HASS testing for products.
Skills Required
* Proven track record working as a Reliability engineer in a product development environment within the oil and gas, aerospace, military or similar heavy industry.
* Experience of applying a variety of Risk management tools and techniques. (FMECA, Fault tree analysis etc.)
* Able to work across all disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, software etc.)
* Preparation of reliability predictions from concept through to final manufacturing introduction and continuous engineering support across all disciplines (mechanical, electrical etc). Ideally candidates will be able to produce reports to Mil-217, Telecordia or other industry standards.
* Provide technical and engineering input into project teams with risk based analysis.
* Assist in the Design and development of test apparatus and procedures with project team members to prove reliability of completed product to support end of line test.
* Generate clear and concise reports in relation to reliability assessments.
* Develop and support HALT testing and analyse results to feedback into future developments.
* Ability to understand, interpret and ensure compliance with relevant ISO, API and other international and company standards.
* Work with management and product teams to help derive reliability metrics and specification.
* Represent/Work with contract manufacturers, vendors and customers to improve and demonstrate reliability.
General Education
* A candidate with an appropriate degree qualification is preferred but candidates with HND/HNC plus a proven track record will be considered.
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
* Preferably experience of working with FMECA software (Reliasoft XFMEA), but not essential.
Additional Requirements
* Full UK driving license
* Available to travel internationally
