Job Description
Job Purpose
Working with other IP and library stake holders across CSR's sites globally as well as others in the IP and Libraries Group, you will provide technical and logistical management of IP and libraries for internal consumption. You will liaise with external suppliers as well as understanding the demands and requirements of the internal customers, ensuring that our client's development programmes have the necessary IP and libraries available to them in a timely manner.
Keep abreast of developments in libraries and IP including modelling, management, implementation and QA.
Key responsibilities
* Provide technical support and oversee the company's digital IP procurement and licensing
* Involved in defining IP and monitoring the delivery of IP issues and ensuring their resolution in a timely manner
* Manager and develop relationships with IP supplier to improve the company's products together with the appropriate licensing
* Liaise and influence internal groups to align external IP roadmaps
* Define QA methodologies and processes for internal and external IP deliveries. Ensure internal processes align with IP agreements
* Liaise with both internal and external IP providers as well as the design, process, legal and financial teams to ensure the appropriate IP and associated views are purchased and are available in a timely manner for projects and within budget
* Ensuring that external IP providers' roadmaps and QA align with the company's needs
* Contribute to improving the company's implementation flows and QA
* Represent CSR and contribute at conferences, trade events and present papers where appropriate
* Mentor junior staff
Person Specification - Required
* Degree (or equivalent qualification/experience) in maths/science/software/electronics
* Ability to innovate technical solutions
* Ability to make technical design decisions
* Deep understanding of design methods and approaches and technical solutions
* Familiar with semiconductor process technologies
* Deep understanding of digital implementation developments/techniques
* Proven record of technical ability
* Capability of being recognised as a technical authority within organisation
* Operates without supervision in a complex environment
* Proven ability to provide technical direction
* Ability to share own expertise and provide guidance and support to others
* Ability to collaborate effectively with other technical staff and project management
* Effective team player
* Good communication skills
* Strong presentation skills

* Chartered Engineer
* Familiar with Verilog, perl, TCL, shell scripts, Make files and version control tools
* Familiar with EDA implementation and verification tools
