Job Description

Our client, based in Cambridge is seeking Software Engineer with a minimum of 4 years commercial web software development experience. Your experience will include using HTML, CSS, Javascript, JQuery and AJAX and a speciality in ASP.NET and C#.

You will thrive within a team of talented developers and testers using agile project methodologies such as SCRUM and DSDM on a cutting edge ASP.NET MVC C# 4.0 e-commerce platform. Delivering best in class systems focused on end-user experience ought to be your aspiration.

Being a first rate communicator, your ability to work across functions to deliver and manage project teams will be crucial; especially when tasked with gathering requirements from your colleagues, agreeing your interface designs, then implementing those requirements whilst working alongside your QA team.

Your solid knowledge of SQL (ideally Microsoft SQL Server 2008) allows you to create powerful applications that can manipulate rich data for over 100,000 products. Using SQL best practices and optimisation techniques, you are able to deliver high-performance and feature rich systems whilst being able to scale for the future.

Having a minimum of 4 years commercial web software development experience (using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery and AJAX) and a speciality in ASP.NET C#, you will be ready to immediately participate in a project pipeline.

Alternatively you might have experience of Java, with an appetite to learn Microsoft C#4.0 in a short space of time.

You will be supported by a degree from a computing, science or math background and able to demonstrate your aptitude in programming and the areas outlined above.
