Job Description

Our client, based in Cambridge is seeking a Project Manager with at least 3 years' project management experience in a commercial environment. Successful candidates will have a degree (at least 2:1) in Maths, Science or Engineering.

This exciting role within our client's Business Intelligence and Opportunities (BIO) Department provides a unique opportunity for a successful candidate to develop their commercial project management experience within a fast-paced and growing scientific company.

As a Project Manager, you will play an essential role in:

* Providing project management resource to our client and the BIO team

* Developing innovation and business improvement through managing New Opportunities Project and other initiatives

* Support by coordinating the creation and execution of integration plans along with delivering significant profits to the company

The successful candidate will have a degree (at least a 2:1 or equivalent) ideally in Maths, Science or engineering (an MSc, or equivalent within a similar discipline would also be advantageous). You will also have 3 years' demonstrable project management experience in a commercial environment and this will include managing strategically important projects. You will also need proven experience of using analytical methods to influence and create business strategy. You will have to be highly organised and have the ability to be both resourceful and creative when problem solving. It is essential that you have strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) as you will need to be able to build strong relationships at all levels across the company. You will also need to be willing to learn and to share your knowledge with others.
