Job Description
Our client, based in Cambridgeshire is seeking a Supply Chain Business Analyst with experience of inventory planning and supply chain in a fast moving global organisation. The successful candidate will be qualified to degree level in a relevant filed and have experience in a similar role.
MISSION
1. Gather and interpret relevant data (costs, inventory turns, demand patterns, supplier delivery performance etc.) to support operational decisions.
2. Investigate problems, find root causes and develop solutions
3. Provide analytical and implementation support for projects, new business opportunities and proposals
4. Coordinate data driven process improvement projects for operations supply chain
MAIN ACTIVITIES
Gather and interpret relevant data (costs, inventory turns, demand patterns, supplier delivery performance etc.) to support operational decisions.
1. Develop flexible reporting tools to support supply chain, inventory logistics and operations objectives
2. Develop statistical process controls to monitor supply chain activities
3. Consult with management, end-users and internal customers to identify opportunities for systems and process development to support best practice.
Investigate problems, find root causes and develop solutions
1. Pro-actively identify areas of weakness to support and enhance the supply of material and reduction of cost across the company
2. Develop robust solutions top any failures
Provide analytical and implementation support for projects, new business opportunities and proposals
1. Take a lead role in implementing changes and improvements to systems and processes
2. Consult with all stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and to spec
3. Provide accurate analysis for all aspects of the operations
Coordinates data driven process improvement projects for operations supply chain
Any other tasks as reasonably required
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
* A strong educational background, ideally qualified to degree level in a relevant field or with equivalent experience in a similar role
* Six Sigma Green Belt or above would be advantageous
* Demonstrate a fundamental understanding of the needs of the business
* Knowledge of inventory and planning and supply chain in a complex fast moving global organisation
* Demonstrated analytical ability
* Ability to communicate internally with peers and managers
* In depth knowledge of Oracle applications, and processes relating to the manufacturing supply chain
* Good working knowledge of all company processes and IT systems
* Interest in acquiring and expanding knowledge of potential modules and systems
* Lean/Kaizen/Six Sigma/Statistical process Control experience
