My client is looking for a numerate candidate that is a team player and has first class attention to detail.
This is a great opportunity to work for a highly respected and well established organisation within Cambridge.
The main responsibilities of this role are as follows: In line with Credit Guidelines determine credit worthiness of customers to minimise the risk of bad debts.
In line with Credit Guidelines determine new credit limits and annually review existing ones for all customers according to their credit worthiness and volume of activity budgeted.
To work closely with the Sales team in Cambridge and Ireland to try and reduce level of credit given and ensure payments are received according to terms set to maximise cash flow.
Visit customers to build a good working relationship, to obtain a copy of their company accounts and third party reports to discuss ways of improving payment performance.
If overdue, collect a cheque payment to clear debt.
Prepare, discuss and circulate to the Sales team and management, a comprehensive set of the receivables report on a weekly and monthly basis as requested by management.
Reports will also be required showing details of payments, collections, forward debts and aged debt to enable timely decisions on customer credit to be made.
To ensure that all internal credit management controls are performed correctly and within the appropriate area of responsibility.
