A small Cambridge based company requires an Accounts Assistant to facilitate the smooth running of their internal accounting processes, paying particular attention to the purchase ledger. Demonstrating a diligent and professional approach you will be confident of working independently with a good understanding of book-keeping. Having sole responsibility of the purchase ledger you will ensure all purchase orders are completed correctly, following up employees on approvals and queries. Matching purchase orders to supplier invoices, making payments and reconciling the ledger at month end. In addition you will prepare the expense claims on behalf of other employees, deal with petty cash, liaise with project managers, keeping track of projects and invoicing accordingly. This is a key role that requires excellent interpersonal skills and a flexible attitude. Predominately a full-time role however 30hours per week would be considered.
