The CompanyRobert Half Finance & Accounting seeks to recruit a strong, qualified accountant with experience in audit, on behalf of a large, reputable organisation, with a strong European presence.The RoleThe role is a hybrid with elements of Financial Control, internal audit and risk. The main purpose of the role will be to monitor and improve financial controls across this Business Division and ensure compliance with Divisional accounting and reporting policies through regular balance sheet/compliance reviews at each of the operating units. In addition, this position will manage the Group Operational Audit function on behalf of the Division, tracking and reporting on outstanding audit issues and following up progress with local management. Also, this key role will develop and maintain key risk reporting for each business function within each operating unit and to ensure that these risks are adequately mitigated by system processes and controls. This person will be required to work closely with all members of the European team, in particular Finance staff, in order to successfully review, understand and assess the financial controls environment. The ideal candidate will be ACA or ACCA qualified with a background in Audit and strong commercial acumen. Excellent interpersonal skills will be required to establish strong relationships with the Finance personnel throughout the business and ensure a high standard of financial support is provided. There will be a significant element of travel across Europe, around 20%. Salary & Benefits£45,000 to £55,000
