| Our Company – Nexus Strategic Partnerships is a dynamic and innovate media company, delivering cost-effective but world-class promotional and communication solutions to governments and businesses in developing countries. We provide contract print and electronic publications for major international and trade organisations, as well as helping them to run successful conferences and exhibitions. The Position - Due to the phenomenal success of our unique approach, we are looking for a Manager of Country Partnerships to lead and grow our team of sophisticated media salespeople in Cambridge. Initially inheriting a small team of salespeople selling print advertising over the telephone to international businesses and governments, you will work with the Director of Sales & Marketing to grow this into a sales department comprising both junior and senior sales executives, and marketing a constantly growing portfolio of (print and electronic) advertising and sponsorship products. Your key responsibilities will be to ensure that overall sales targets are met, and that (with the help of the Director of Sales & Marketing, who will be providing you with new products to sell, and new people to sell them), individual projects and salespeople maximise their potential. The Person – You will have clear spoken English, and an exceptional telephone manner. You will have at least 3 years experience as a successful telephone salesperson, during which time you will have opened and closed deals worth £’000s, at the highest levels of business or government. You will also have proven outbound B2B telephone sales management experience, and have the ambition, energy, drive and charisma to grow significantly a sales operation. International sales experience is essential, and ideally you will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the challenges of doing business in developing countries. Previous experience as a sales manager of a contract publication for an international organisation would be particularly desirable, although not essential. The Benefits – An attractive package of basic salary, uncapped personal commission and uncapped override, with a genuine first year OTE considerably in excess of £60,000. An exceptional candidate could expect that to be nearer £100,000. |
