This is a senior position within manufacturing /engineering where you will be responsible for the site, regional and worldwide sourcing strategy . Duties will include
• Management of purchasing policies and procedures
• Responsible for special purchasing programmes and new product introduction programmes
• Provide leadership for purchasing and logistics
• Demonstrate leadership for cost and inventory reductions and quality improvements
• Risk assessment
• Participation on 6 Strategic Sourcing teams
• Evaluate, propose and implement strategies
• Managing suppliers delivering into three facilities, UK, US and China
• Liaising with Japanese Joint Venture Partner
• Identify and satisfy Critical Customer Requirements
• Liaise with Supplier Development Engineers to ensure continuous improvement
Candidates must have strong knowledge of NPI, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Category Strategies
Hours are Monday - Friday 8.30am - 4.45pm.
